Who is Ryan Acevedo?
Ryan Acevedo hails from Lodi, California. Since he was 2 years old, he has always had a passion and drive for music. Up until high school, he went through piano lessons with a professional private teacher. He competed in classical piano competitions, coming back with quite a few awards.
In high school, Ryan moved away from classical piano and found his footing in the world of jazz. By his junior year, he was student director of his high school’s jazz ensemble, a section leader for the French Horns in marching band, and the lead horn in the symphony orchestra. However, COVID would turn things around for Ryan.
Ryan decided to make the move to Cleveland, Ohio, for his music study, choosing Baldwin Wallace University to be his stomping grounds. Studying Music Industry, he spent the next four years perfecting his craft and learning more and more about music and journalism. He joined The Exponent, BW, and Berea’s local newspaper, where he thrived as an Arts and Culture writer and editor. He also began performing in local Cleveland venues with his friends. By his senior year, he knew he wanted to start his own musical career. He began work under his moniker “Ryzan Music,” where he released his first single “Rose Tinted Glasses” on New Year’s Day 2025 and his first single “Case Files from a Broken World” on May 1st.
With graduation behind him, Ryan is looking to continue improving his business skills, journalistic integrity, and musical prowess.
