Who is Ryan Acevedo?

Ryan Acevedo hails from Lodi, California. Since he was 2 years old, he has always had a passion and drive for music. Up until high school, he went through piano lessons with a professional private teacher. He competed in classical piano competitions, coming back with quite a few awards.

In high school, Ryan moved away from classical piano and found his footing in the world of jazz. By his junior year, he was student director of his high school’s jazz ensemble, a section leader for the French Horns in marching band, and the lead horn in the symphony orchestra. However, COVID would turn things around for Ryan.

Ryan wanted a change of scenery for his higher education, choosing Baldwin Wallace University in Ohio to be his testing ground. Studying the music industry, he spent the next four years perfecting his craft and learning more and more about the music industry and journalism. He joined The Exponent, the local newspaper for Baldwin Wallace and the surrounding Berea area, where he thrived as an Arts and Culture writer and editor. He also began performing in local Cleveland venues with his friends. By his senior year, he knew he wanted to start his own musical career. He began work under his moniker “Ryzan Music,” where he released his first single “Rose Tinted Glasses” on New Year’s Day 2025 and his first single “Case Files from a Broken World” on May 1st. He also opened for the first time alongside his friends for their graduation concert.

With graduation behind him, Ryan has continued to pursue his passion for music, while exploring other avenues of excellence. He returned to Cleveland in September of 2025 to record more music for his solo project. In March of 2026, he got a job as a subject tutor for a national tutoring company. In June of 2026, he joined the band Sweet Mango.

Ryan hopes to continue to advance his music career and put his degree to good use in the industry. He also hopes to inspire others to pursue their dreams of making music, even if it’s just using bandlab and some cheap gear.
