Ryan Acevedo
I am a musician and journalist from Lodi, California. I have remained dedicated to the arts for almost 20 years and advocated for new music's positive exposure. Between my experience writing for Arts and Culture in The Exponent to my dedication to my solo musical projects, I have been able to present persistence, dedication, and creativity to everything I do.
Experience
Writing and Performing Music
Since November 2023, I have been performing live on stage as a freelance bassist with acts such as Jack Lutz, Ty Bogikes, and Bryanna Bell.
I have also begun working on my solo career under the moniker of “Ryzan Music.”
Arts journalism
Working with The Exponent has brought me many opportunities to express my love for the arts. I wrote for the Arts and Culture desk, soon becoming their manager.
This position also helped me learn about editing articles and doing photography.
Internship Experience
My program at Baldwin Wallace allowed me to work with three very unique and special internship programs across America. I had the privilege of working with The Bop Stop, Broadway Sacramento, and The City of Sacramento.
Original Music
Starting in January, I have been continuously working on my solo music project under the name “Ryzan Music.” This project is a culmination of everything I learned in college and my continuous love for creating art. My most recent single, “Alone in a Crowd” released on streaming on October 31st.
